About
Melbourne Twitter Underground Brigade (or MTUB for short) is an informal gathering of completely random people, some of them have a tech background but all of them have only one thing in common, that is the fact that they twitter (oh and I guess the fact that they live in Melbourne)
Once a month (more or less) about 30-50 of us gather in one of Melbourne’s bars to network, meet, chat and drink with people who are essentially total strangers. Why is this cool? Well like twitter itself, it broadens people’s social circles and brings about random coincidences that may not happen otherwise.
Want to sponsor an MTUB meetup?
the sponsorships costs start at $100 for a sponsor and $60 for a pizza sponsor. We welcome as many sponsors as we can find per month so if you want to get your name or your brand out to a cool, hip and trendy community then we might be able to help.
Past sponsors include:
The benefits, besides bragging rights and the grateful admiration of 30+ twitters are all exposure based. We will put your name (or company name or whatever) on all of our @MTUB tweets for the month prior to the night – this works really well as the MTUB followers often repeat this to their followers etc. Beyond that, on the night you get a mention and the evening competition is based around you, all entries into the comp must be via twitter so there is even more twitter based exposure on the night.
